Adam and Eve...in all their sinful glory?

Ok, so this was the status message of a friend of mine one day: "Here's a strange thought, without Adam and Eve having sinned, we wouldn't be able to go to heaven. Because with sin, came death. And without dying, there'd be nowhere to go. Strange thought...what're yours?" The statements made did not agree with my theology one bit, and I wanted to tell him so, but I haven’t had time to compose concrete facts and evidences against his "strange thought" and why it is so off kilter. I thought that I would put it out there rally the help of my troops to help me come up with a counter to this statement. Please let me know your view, opinion, thought and conclusion on this here item of business. I will be forever indebted =D

even though i do it quite frequently, i really don't like giving shrug-off, not-really answers to questions. but that's really the only thing i can do for this one, sorry :(
the thing is, God knew from the beginning (which, of Him, there wasn't one) that He would create man, that man would sin, and that He would send His Son some thousand years later to be the Savior of the world. Because He already had it completely mapped out, there's really no room for what if's because we can't possibly know what would have happened if adam and eve hadn't sinned. it wasn't an option - though God didn't force them to do it, He just knew they would. but if adam and eve hadn't listened to the devil that time around, he would try to persuade them again or work on someone else. he's too good at making things seem tempting or "needed" to be resisted by fleshly, sinful men.
now i have a question for you. you stated that his thoughts didn't agree with your theology "one bit" but you didn't give us any insight to your theology and how it conflicts. is the entire point of the post that you wanted to ask us to give you an argument as to why it's wrong? do you HAVE your own argument?

haha i do have an arugument, but i havnt had time or thinking power enough lately to formulate one. i kno that its like, well God did kno from the beginning, he "prosginosko" or watever, and that heaven is were God was and it wasnt nesisarily created fr humans, but a place God made room in for us, sinful man saved by his sons sacrifice of life. so yeah....im just hopin people will leave scripture or important people quotes to refute the statement completly, not just state an opinion, kno wat i mean? lol, so yeah

just in case it came off that way, my question for you wasn't intended to sound mean or anything in anyway...i was just wondering =P

Well, here's my two and a half cents. (Inflation, you know. Two cents isn't worth anything.) When Adam and Eve were in Eden, they were in sort of the "pre-Heaven." They were in Paradise and enjoying communion with God. Had they never sinned, there's no reason they couldn't have always been in "Heaven." That's not how the story goes, but I think it's an interesting idea. . . .
